Starting The Path

The mystery of Creation contains many subtle memories, all of which are available to us if we are only willing to open ourselves to them. Children are especially sensitive to those memories, because they have not been hampered by whatever social constructs we force upon them.

The "imaginary friend", the "secret place", and the "super powers" that children have are really a link to those powerful memories, and childern are able to access and draw upon them in order to make sense of this world. As they become older, we find ways to divest them of these connections. This divestiture causes no small amount of conflict - they must replace something they KNOW with something they are told, and must accept the telling as a condition of societal acceptance.

I was claimed by Crow during my Spirit Guide ceremony. During the ceremony, I was hoping for something I thought was more powerful. I wanted Bear, Wolf, Lion, or Eagle. I imagined myself becoming as I thought they were -commanding, aloof, and mysterious. As the ceremony progressed, I found myself understanding that this was to be an event that the guide would claim me, and not me claining the guide I wanted. As my awareness grew along those lines, I began to feel energized - fearful and excited, and enveloped in a sense of wonder and openess that I had not known since childhood. i began to calm myself, and became willing for the guide to claim me, regardless of the created manifistation of the guide takes.

When the shaman whispered "Crow" in my ear, I was pulled in emotionally in different directions - I knew very little about Crow and Raven. I chose to immerse myself in the legends and mythology of Crow, and as Crow revealed itself to me, I began to understand my own connection with Crow.

Some of these connections are personal, some are shareable, and all are Sacred . As I learn, I will tell.

My Crow Medicine Begins

This site is currently being constructed. I hope to learn enough about this system to be able to do honor to my fathers and The Creator, while in some way helping to heal the sickness of isolation from God that some people suffer. Thank you for your interest and patience.
